BOB is one of those games that you always see for sale or on the front page of Steam, but you have no interest to try it. To follow that instinct would be a mistake.

BOB is crazy fun and not just because its name makes you snicker like a pre-pubescent child. Take the bounciness of De Blob, the calamity of Burnout, and the level design of Mario Odyssey, and base it around colorful balls. Each level is a different movie where you need to complete missions and collect movie reels. The maps are open-world, so you have to traverse the whole map to find a boat to destroy. Meanwhile, tiny minions, mini-bosses, sub-bosses, pre-bosses, and main bosses will stand in your way, causing you to engage in crazy mosh pits to defeat your enemies.

This game is nuts, but it hooks you with the insanity, begging you to stay in the car crash. The battle system can be hit-or-miss and you barely ever get breathing space, but this game is ridiculous fun. It succeeds, where games like Funko Fusion fail.
