This is a brand new segment on the blog where I share my movie podcast. Three friends and I review movies found on Tubi. We don’t take our job too seriously, but you’ll laugh and learn as we discuss wild, hidden, and bizarre film.
Color Out of Space is a 2019 movie, written and directed by Richard Stanley. The film is adapted from an HP Lovecraft short story of the same name. Using the famous “driven insane by aliens” story, COOS attempts to combine alien body horror, Nicholas Cage’s intensity, and beautiful fuchsia hues into the mix.
Plot: The Gardener Family’s farm is struck by a purple space rock, leading to a supernatural alien presence that terrorizes the family.
Content Warning: The movie has gore, body horror, pervasive language, implied drug use, and one scene of intimacy.
