Those who read the bible understand that it is list of narratives, letters and messages. The writers did not intend to make the book like a cinematic experience. But there are a few books with endings that deserve their own fade out to credits.
Judges 21:25
¶In those days Israel had no king; all the people did whatever seemed right in their own eyes.
Epic: This statement is the condemning bullet on what the book of Judges was trying to show the whole time.
Genesis 50:26
26So Joseph died at the age of 110. The Egyptians embalmed him, and his body was placed in a coffin in Egypt.
Epic: This is the end of the prequel, which leads into the Moses story
1 John 5:21
21¶Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.fn
Epic: After spending 5 chapters of telling the church about the importance of love, John ends his book with this chilling warning.
Matthew 28:20
20Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Epic: Jesus ends his mortal ministry with this powerful eternal statement.
Revelation 22:20-21
20¶He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!”
Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!
21¶May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s holy people.fn
Epic: Is there a more legendary and cliffhanger way to end the Bible? This tops them all.
