| Christ is _________ Authority In the comic series Invincible, Omni Man is an elitist superhero sent to rule the world from his home planet. His philosophy is to make himself king over Earth. Omni Man has the power to destroy countries and believes humans are ignorant cattle. The only problem is that his son, Mark, is standing in his way. Armed with the same powers, Mark wants to serve the earth instead of ruling it. The battle between father and son is catastrophic, but it leaves no doubt how easily Omni Man can take over. Jesus has similar options. After his resurrection, he was declared master over heaven and Earth. Before his death, Jesus served as a humble teacher, prophet, and healer, but now he has a CEO position. Jesus is responsible for the world’s end, similar to Omni Man. But Jesus has a different approach. When given the power over everything, Jesus commanded his followers to raise disciples, teach his message, and baptize. Now, becoming a mini version of Jesus is our priority. And Jesus will use his authority to care for those who serve Authority belongs to Jesus, but it isn’t for annihilation and bondage but for more people to experience his goodness |
