| Kingdom Rush |

| Love always protects 1 Corinthians 13:7 MESSAGE: Kingdom Rush is an addictive mobile game. You use resources to place traps and offensive towers along the path of your enemies. As they attempt to advance toward the castle, your strategic placement of weapons picks them off. By the end of the level, the enemy army floods your path, and if you have upgraded your weapons and positioned them wisely, they shouldn’t reach your castle. We live in a world where protecting someone can be intimidating. Whether you are protecting your child from getting skipped over for services or protecting a friend from bullies, it is undesirable. The protector must labor and absorb the backlash. When love protects someone, it is a very selfless act. The protector dedicates their well-being to the health and happiness of the person they love. They say, “Life does not have to be so cruel with me in your corner.” Jesus’ protection has priorities. In the long term, he protected us from the guilt and condemnation of our sins—that’s a one-and-done situation. But in the short term, he builds us up to protect the people we are called to love. We face persecution, grief, and obstacles to take care of our own. Since he didn’t defend himself from the cold harshness of bullies and persecutors for us to have salvation, we can follow his example. We can gently remind our family not to be rash or judgmental toward the poor when discussing current events. We can push for our children to get helpful services. We can mentor kids to be good citizens who help others. We can serve non-profits to protect others from hopelessness. We can donate our money to causes that protect the marginalized. We can protect a stranger by telling them the truth about Jesus. How do you like to protect others? |
