| Doctor Who |
| Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth 1 Corinthians 13:6 MESSAGE: Doctor Who is a magical cosmic being that is played by a new British actor every 2-3 seasons. He reincarnates when he dies. The 11th Doctor, played by Matt Smith, reveals that every iteration gets a new tongue, leading him to discover which foods he loves or hates. The 11th Doctor’s new appetite rejected his old favorite foods (eggs and bacon) and craves the fine British delicacy of fish fingers in custard. Pure love comes with a very unique appetite. It can discern certain flavors. When it hears that a new mini mall opening forced the poor out of the neighborhood, it spits in disgust. When love watches politics, it is very allergic to injustice. Love’s stomach is made for cringing at the sight of greed, lies, and abuse, because it is modeled after its maker. Likewise, love is hungry for good news. It wants to know when the orphan gets adopted and the poor get rectified. It loves it when people are following ethical codes that help one another. Jesus calls himself the truth in John 14:6 and we can find the treasures of goodness in his presence. In order to grow distaste for evil and an appetite for truth, you need to check your bias. Your personal opinions, upbringing, and skew on life cannot interfere with God’s message. Luckily, we can study the scriptures and have its message become our own as we wrestle with it. When your mind mirrors Jesus’ truth and rejects Hell’s slant, then you will be able to see the world as God sees it. |
